The NCS steering committee consists of one representative from each of the following institutions:
The steering committee has overall strategic responsibility for collaboration between the institutions taking part, and between the NCS and external partners. Decisions must be unanimous.
The National Centre for School Research consists of a number of fixed activities as well as research projects and research-based development projects.
The executive committee is composed of one representative of each of the fixed activities and projects under the NCS. The vice-director of the centre is also a member of the executive committee.
Members of the executive committee meet on a regular basis. Their task is to coordinate the day-to-day activities of the NCS. The centre director is the chair of the executive committee. The executive committee is responsible for the overall coordination of the centre’s activities.
The strategic forum of the National Centre for School Research consists of representatives of key national and international players within the field of childcare centres and schools.
The strategic forum meets once a year in connection with the annual national NCS conference. In addition, the strategic forum may be invited to meetings if required.
With a view to ensuring the qualified processing of project proposals received by the NCS, a scientific and expert committee has been appointed to advise the centre director with regard to academic quality. Moreover, a series of seminars will be initiated across the participating projects with a view to qualifying these projects and the NCS’s specific research profile.
The scientific and expert committee has two main tasks:
The scientific and expert committee has an advisory function in relation to the centre director.
An international advisory board is being established. Some of the internationally leading education researchers are being asked to become members of the international advisory board. The board has an advisory function in relation to the centre director and it will meet once a year, either physically or in video-supported meetings.
