The National Centre for School Research

Profile

The National Centre for School Research (NCS) is a collaborative venture established in 2016 between the Danish School of Education (DPU) at Aarhus University and VIA University College. The centre is home to a national research partnership whose aim is to:

Strengthen Danish research into childcare centres and schools.
Contribute to better coordination and closer cooperation.
Ensure that this research benefits childcare centres and schools throughout Denmark, and is communicated to them.

Latest IEA Policy Briefs

Each publication in the IEA Policy Brief series aims to connect study findings to recurring and new issues in the education policy debate at international and national levels. The briefs cover a wide range of themes related to teaching and learning within several subject areas.

The NCS is the Danish partner in the following international comparative research projects:

The surveys are conducted under the auspices of the International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement (IEA).
