Research projects

The NCS is home to a range of research projects and research-based development projects, which are either external (e.g. in the form of partnerships between a number of research stakeholders) or internal (e.g. from the Danish School of Education or VIA University College). The NCS invites research stakeholders to work together to prepare proposals and applications for projects.

Research projects will only fit the NCS framework if they:

  • Meet a recognised social need
  • Are practice-related and useable in practice
  • Have a dimension of theory development
  • Have a certain volume, i.e. they can be characterised as “large” projects
  • Be cross-institutional
  • Have a school effectiveness perspective
  • Help to ensure a balance and interaction between quantitative and qualitative methods.
